I was sharing at our prayer meeting about the possible need to brace ourselves following the murders in Sri Lanka and other parts. Today, the world seems to go into copy-cat mode whenever anything dreadful happens – stabbings as an example – an epidemic.
A lady at our meeting read out a piece from Barnabus fund literature. Wondered if you saw it? 15 churches in Sheffield have received warnings of attacks, with the threat that if they lock the doors, attendees will be stabbed as they leave church. Churches in other parts have received similar threats.
We shouldn’t be surprised I suppose. In these days the enemy will make a final ‘push’.
On perhaps another note? I saw this quote from C.T. Studd the great missionary:-
“Only one life will soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
OR as Jesus said – Matt.15:13 – “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted.”
Only that which we do at the Holy Spirit’s bidding is worth doing, the rest is religious good works. Time is short.
